Tidying out a drawer and found info on Stanley Brogden. My Grandad was called Harold Hirstwood Brogden and I believe Stanley was one of his four brothers. I have been led to believe he emigrated to Australia. I have the following info:
He was transferred from Bradford Northern to Huddersfield in 1929 for a transfer fee of 1200. First player ever to fetch over 1000 fee.
1930-3 played for Huddersfield
1933-4 played wing centre in Huddersfield and transferred to Leeds
1936-7 played for Leeds
June 6th 1932 played to the biggest crown in the first test at Sydney.
Played in 2 finals at Wembley.

My dad's family were from Liversedge/Heckmondwyke. My grandad grew up around the Manningham area in Bradford, and died around 1983.

Hope this is of use.
