I invite you to read my new Raley family history which includes some info on Buggy Brogden in Morgan County at

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1yw1WnklgjglpJ98zhdykHHLw4moSO5LPlK_pDi3z2DI/edit?hl=en#

Elisabeth A. Raley Stringer was not related to Buggy, but after he returned from the war he married her widowed sister Sarah B. Raley Davis. Nathaniel Parker Davis was one of her sons from her first marriage, and as you said, he then married Elizabeth Brogden, with his mother's permission on the license in Morgan County, Ala, where I live. I do not have any info on his ancestry, however. Leslie Whitley
