Brogden male in Indiana before 1880

A Brogden (spelled with an 'e' ) man and his

wife had three daughters named Susie, Julia

Anna, and Agnes which were all born in

Indiana. The girls aged 6, 4, and 1 years

were placed in an orphanage in Wabash,

Indiana before 1880 where they appeared

together in the 1880 census record. During

that year, Julia Anna was adopted by David

and Martha Allison Culp of Mechanicsburg,

Ohio. Julia Anna was told that she and her

sisters were placed in the orphanage when

her father died and her mother was unable to

take care of them.

If you have any information on this Brogden

man or his wife, please post or email me.
