Hello, Marilyn. I suspect that it is his real name. As I recall, he is listed as A.B. Brogden in some records. I suspect that the name is that of an ancestor's surname although I have not located that proof as of yet. Are you researching the BUGGY line in the same area as that of Buggy Brogden? He is found in Alabama and believed to have originated in North Carolina.
