TJ, it's a pleasure to share information on the BROGDENS as they were good friends & kin with my HOOD ancestors in Wayne Co. NC. I think Nathan and Keziah may have had 9 children, not 6; I have found no child of theirs named Wm. Possibly you are referring to Wm R., born 9 May 1823 to Pierce (Nathan's brother) and Amy BREAD BROGDEN. Children you did not name were Nathan P., John Thomas, Polly A. BROGDEN DAVIS, and Ganza. Keziah was d/o Briton and Mary BASS HOOD (my g-g-g-grandparents). Briton was s/o Nathaniel HOOD. Nathan's father was Thomas W. BROGDEN who died interstat 1815 Wayne Co. NC. His wife Phebe was a PIERCE, d/o Ann. I was told by the late Effie Parker that Curtis Hooks BROGDEN and Robert Barfield HOOD (my g-grandfather) were friends since early childhood; I know Robert named one of his sons Curtis Hooks HOOD, but this son died young. I have much more on HOODS and BROGDENS.
