Hi Chris,
Sounds interesting this shoe connection - as you will probably know Sash Street was almost certainly in the area of the main shoe trade in Stafford, i.e. Lotus, Bostocks (now Evode) etc. The old Lotus factory would only have been 5 to 10 minutes walk away (although I think there was another Lotus/Bostocks factory before this one). Anyway, if I manage to find out any further information I will let you have it. Thanks for any help.
