I am looking for information on the ancestors of David Bromley, born about 1830 in New York. He was listed on the 1860 Census In Wesley, Will, Illinois: David Bromley, together with his wife, Sarah, b. 1832, and daughter, Sarah, b. 1852

There is a listing for David G. Brumley in the 100th Illinois Infantry from Florence, Illinois in 1862-1863, and he was discharged with a disability. There is also a listing under the Illinois Civil War Pension Index, July 26, 1867, listing his widow, Sarah Brumley.

His wife, Sarah, was listed together with her daughter, Sarah Matson, and son-in-law, John Matson, and grandson Edmund Matson on the 1870 Census in Ovid, Clinton, Michigan. David was not listed on the 1870 Census with his wife.

His wife, Sarah Brumly (widow), daughter Sarah Matson (widow), and son John Brumly and grandson, Edmund Matson, were listed on the 1880 Census in Kankakee, Kankakee, Illinois.

There was also a Harvey Brumley (born about 1846) and his wife Wealta (Farmer) on the 1870 Census in Kankakee, Illinois. I know they were both born in New York, and his parents were David Brumley and Jerusha Johnson.

I am wondering whether there might be a connection between Harvey Brumley/Bromley and my David Brumley/Bromley, although I have been unable to find it. Any help would be appreciated. My email is: rockingranny@comcast.net
