BROMLEY circa 1835 England

Hi.. was wondering if anyone has access to the 1841 and/or 1851 English census (in particular around Manchester - Liverpool etc). My 3rd great grandfather left Guiana Sept 1835 accompanied by a Mr. Thomas Moss (Liverpool banker). He was only 6 years old at the time. Family does not know why. It is said Mr. Moss drowned on the voyage and when my 3rd great grandfather arrived in England he was then, and I quote, "taken into Guardianship by the Bromley family". That is the only info we have. Perhaps on a census it will show him as residing with the Bromley family. His name was George Sydney Meerten(s). Many thanks for any help.
