Posted by: Nancy Hilliard Peirce (ID *****7859) Date: March 23, 2006 at 20:39:44

Seeking information on John Bromley who was the son of Mary Hilliard.

From the GLO Land Patent Records:

http://www.glorecords.blm.gov/PatentSearch/Image.asp?Accession=AR2940%5F%5F%2E148&Format=SmallGIF&Page=1&Index=1&QryID=7202.852

"Mary Hilliard the mother and only heir at law of John Bromley, late of the Howard's Company of the 25th Regiment of Infantry, one quarter section of land granted November 27, 1820."

This quarter section or 160 acres was in Lawrence County, Arkansas.

Any information on this mother and son would be appreciated.
