Brong, Sebastian K. of Monroe Co. His great- grandfather was born in Germany (note from me. Ship, Edinburgh, Phila. 13 Aug 1750, John Jacob Brang). Came to America with a brother and settled in Bucks Co. His brother remained in Bucks Co, where some of his desendants reside till this day, others at Allentown, (Whitehall) and others in Lehigh Co (note from me, Bucks co, Prang, Peter, s/o Bastin and Barbara, born 10 April 1785-Springfield Lutheran Ch.).Sebastian Brong went to Chestnut Hill twp, Monroe Co. He srv in the Rev. He is buried at Gilbert.(note from me. Gilbert, Mary Brong, w/o Jacob, Nov 30, 1788. Jacob Brong, h/o Mary, Aug 28, 1782-Aug 2, 1867. Sebastian Brong, his son, the grandfather of the subject, married Barbara Horn. He had children, Adam, Sally, Sebastian3 Peter, John, Jacob, and Barbara.

Children of Sebastian and Margaret; Philip, Sally Ann, who married Samuel Weiss of Brodheadsville, William died a baby, Amelia, w/o William Dorsheimer, of Wilkes Barre, Angeline married Jerome Mansfield, Sebastian K., Elisabeth, w/o Jacob Lanfer of Weatherly, Carbon Co., Elias married Margaret Motz, Oliver, Emma w/o Wilsoon Kresge of Chestnut Hill. The father died Feb 25 1879, aged 75, the mother in 1894 aged 83. Buried at Brodheadville.
Sabastian K. was born Dec 10, 1841. Srv in Civil war. He married March 4, 1866 at Sciota, to Margaret Getz, d/o Henry and Catharine ("Dotter") Getz and granddaughter of Conrad and Margaret (Weiss) Getz. Conrad Gets was a farmer of Polk two, srv in the War of 1812. His son Henry marriied Catharine, d/o Jacob "Dotter", d/o Jacob (married Miss Richell).

Rev William H. Brong, son of Sebastian K. was pastor of Tannersville Reformed Ch. He was born in Chestnuthill twp Dec 4, 1869. He married Jan 1, 1900 to Clara Leidey, d/o Washington F. Leidy of New Hanover, Montgomery Co. She is a descendant of Rev John Philip Leidich who came to this county in 1748.

Between the years of 1775 and 1780 Sebastian Brong, who had come from Bucks Co, settled on McMichael Creek, now owned by Joseph Brong (1886). He is known to have had 8 children, viz. Peter, Jacob, Adam, Sebastian, Susan married Feliz Weiss, Bararay married Jacob Dorshimer, Catharine married Peter Miller and John.
Of these, Jacob and Sebastian lived in the township and had families. Joseph Brong is a son of Jacob and married Catharine Huffsmith and they had 11 children, viz; William, Sarah, Hannah, Mary Ann, Charles, Emma, Julia, Savannah, John, Million and Nathan. Sebastian Brong, brother of Jacob Brong and Margaret (Kresge) and was the father of 9 children, viz, Philip, Sallie, Amelia, Angeline, Sebastian, Elias, Oliver, Emma, Elizabeth.
