Seeking information on OSCAR G. BROOKINS who won the Medal of Honor as a private of Company C, 17th U. S. Infantry in Cuba during the War with Spain. Sources indicate he was born at Byron, Wisconsin in 1869, enlisted in the army at Xenia, Ohio and died at or near Columbus, Ohio in 1938. He's interred at Sunset Cemetery in Galloway (near Columbus), Ohio.
