Cousin A. & B. and I are seeking to prove our line and hope you are a direct descendant or researcher who have access to marriage or death recrods, newspaper articles, etc.:
1st generation [earliest]
Artemus BROOKINS, Sr. In 1820 he and his family were living in Westmoreland, Oneida Co., NY
2nd generation
a) Artemus BROOKINGS, Jr. b. bet. 1775-1794
b) Mary BROOKENS d. 1825 Greman Flatts, Herkimer Co., NY [New York] m. Benoni LEONARD
3rd generation
daughters from the first marriage (Brookins) were:
Maryetta -- she was married to Dwight Ray Cook about 1827/8; first child (Ransom) born 1828 Eliza (born c 1812/13) who married Julius Baker; she could have been married by 1830.
Harriet (born 1816) who married Thomas J. Cody perhaps about 1839.
Lucy (born bet. 1816-1823) who married Ira Kenyon.
Cynthia Jane (obit. states she was born in 1827 in Oswego Co., NY), married Anson L. Benjamin about 1848/49.

Thank you in advance,
Janice <>

Who the male child was living with Benoni is unknown at the moment.  Likely a son, but who?  And maybe he died before 1830. If the information about Benoni Leonard marrying Eunice Benedict in 1825 in Herkimer Co., NY is correct, then the 1830 data from the Oneida Co., census with two children under age 5 seems very likely.
