Sorry to have made you wait so long for a response about the Brookins family. I had some notes in my file but no connection to our Mary (or Lucy) Brooking who married Benoni Leonard. There may be some clues here for Edwin (and for us) but w
William Brookins had son
Philip Brookins b Oct 23 1705 (1715?) Marlborough, Middlesex, MA, d Feb 26 1802 Poultney; md. Sarah Keyes (b May 20/30 1708, Lancaster, d/o James Keyes & Hannah (Drew) Divoli) on Nov 7 1727, Lancaster, MA. Did she die 1757 and all subsequent children by another wife? Philip Brookins and Sarah Keyes had son Artemas born 1757 Middlesex Co, MA; married in Columbia Co., NY, died in NY. Artemas married Lois Johnson; they had daughter Lucretia, born 1787 MA, D IN. 1740 Marlborough, MA [Massachusetts]: Susannah Brookins (b 1719, sister of Philip) md Abraham Corley/Carley (b June 17 1711, s/o Mariner William & Mary [Bowden] Carley md May 3 1703 by Rev. Cotton Mather), etc.

Please email me directly at <jnrose@webtv.net> as my Cousin A. has sent me a long email which is too long to post here. If you find any errors, please let me know.

Hope we can help each other,
Jan
