Looking for proof regarding the parentage of Benjamin BROOKINS, b. 1790 - NC/d. 24 May 1864 - Baldwin Co, GA. M. Sep 1811 - prob. Baldwin Co, GA to Mary ?, b. c. 1800 - GA/d. 19 Mar 1863 - Baldwin Co., GA.

Parents are supposed to be Thomas BROOKINS and Nancy MERCER of Washington Co., GA. Have seen Thomas A. BROOKINS and Jane JARVIS of Ohio listed as parents, but am sure this parentage is incorrect; no sources ever given. Descendant of son Zachariah BROOKINS who m. Rebecca Ann "Pinkie" STANLEY of Washington and Baldwin Co., GA.

Am trying to get Thomas BROOKINS as an SAR patriot. Any and all help is appreciated!
