Hi there,

I'm just beginning my search for some links to my paternal grandfather's family. His name was Anniel Brookins and he was said to have been half "full-blooded" Cherokee. He married my grandmother Lucy Mae Sterling from New Orleans back during the 1920's. They raised their 18 children in Longview, Texas, where my father is from. I don't really have more to go on than that but I am checking with the LDS to see if they have any records I can look up. My e-mail is hope_angel1@yahoo.com if you care to compare notes. Good luck on your search- maybe we'll find out wer'e related.
