I'm working on the Brookins of Georgia. They lived mainly in Washington, Baldwin & Hancock Counties. There were some Brookins that moved to Birmingham, Ala. We thought they were Brookins but on further research they were Brookings. So maybe you should also look at that name in Georgia. Loraine
