My Broskys are mainly in the southern Ohio area, Belmont, Columbiana, Jefferson, counties, and I've found that many went over the Ohio River to Wheeling, WV, for a lot of things. Some where even married in Brooks, WV. Another was born there—can't remember the county off hand—but there was a fire in that courthouse and all the records were lost.
Anyway, I've also noticed a few Broskys that aren't in my direct line showing up in the records in those counties. Perhaps you should look over in Ohio. All that said I'm assuming your John Brosky and his family are not mine. My John and Sophia Brosky family eventually added an "O'" to their surname—O'Brosky. Did any of yours?
