Bonjour, David: You and I both descend from François Pinsonnault dit Lafleur and Anne Leper (Leber) - you through Marie-Anne, b. 10-23-1676; and I through her brother Pierre, b. April 13, 1674 at St. Ours. I imagine you have the genealogy which has been developed on the above.
It goes like this for me: Pierre P. married Charlotte Lecours; their son Pierre P. marr. Marie Catherine Bisaillon; their son Pierre marr. Geneviève Denau; their son Pierre P. marr. Marie-Marguérite Robert; their son Pierre P. marr. Salomé Smith; their son Joseph P. to Josephte Corbière; their dau. Zoé P. to Joseph Chassé; their dau. Émilde C. to Henry-Luc Brousseau; their son Émile to my mother; and my maiden name was Kathleen Brousseau. So that brings us back to a name which sounds like Brazeau. Glad to trade any info. with you. (My Brousseau data was gathered by an interested researcher in the Pinsonnault family, and is shown on my Family Treemaker Home Page.) He has a lot of history on these people, both on "The King's Girls," and the secret Patriotes society on 1837, and has shared this with me. Do you have this? See our URL below. Kathleen
