in search of the parents of JOHN A. BRUBAKER b circa 1864 in PA, John was a carpenter, John married a Flora or Frances last name unknown. They had 5 children Minnie, Robert, Mable, Edith, and Alice. have not found John in the 1920 census but Flora was listed as a widow living with one of her daughters. I have found John and Flora/Frances in the 1900 York Co. Fairview Twp Census, and in the 1910 Dauphin County Harrisburg City 12th Ward Precinct 2.
I think I found John's family group in the 1880 PA census living in Dauphin county, Ewington (part of present day Steelton). ANDREW BRUBAKER 47 Blacksmith, ANNA wife 37, Viletta f 17, John A m 14, Lizzie f 8, William m 6, Sally J f 3, Harry m 6 months.
In 1870 PA York County, Newberry Township, Goldsboro P.O.
ANDREW (J, S or Z)BRUBAKER 38 Blacksmith; ANN 26, keeping house; VALLETTA 6 F; JOHN 5 M; ROBERT 2 M.
It is quite possible that Andrew's wife was Ann Dugan, at this time it is a guess.
