Further research has shown that the original John Bruffey was born in 1752 and therefore, could not have come from Ireland around 1725-1730. He married Elinor "Nellie" McDonald, and apparently had three sons, Mark, Patrick, and John who married Elizabeth Hill. I have only found mention of one daughter, Nancy, and this is unverified. John Bruffey I is buried in McNeel Cemetery, near Hillsboro, WV, and his spouse, Elinor, is buried in a Bruffey Cemetery, near Arbovale, WV. John Bruffey II and his spouse, Elizabeth, are buried in the Hill Cemetery near Hillsboro, WV. I apologize for the errors made.
