What I have for Amanda Bruffey's children I got from the Clay County Indiana history entry for her son Mark Washington Parkins, and from some Parkins genealogies on the web. Bruffeys are one of th 4 lines I'm following. I'm pretty sure she named this son (who was a Confed. vet. who was big in Indiana politics after the war) after her father Mark Bruffey (who'd moved out to Indiana in 1830's), my ggg-grandfather, and her brother Washington Bruffey, my gg- g'father, who stayed in WVa and was married to Nancy Parkins, a sister or about the same age cousin to Benniah Parkins. Both of these Bruffeys were reverends.
