The Brumbley name could be a part of the Brumble faily name. There are several spellings due to people being unable to read and write back then. I have a Brumbley in my family from the Wicomoco County, Maryland that dates back to the early or mid 1700's.
Do you have any early info on the Brumble name? I have my ancestors traced back nine generations before I get to a disconnect in the line. If you have specific questions on a name, let me know. William Brumble is where my family starts and he luived in Robeson County, North Carolina. There are still a lot of Brumble/s families in that area. E-mail me if interested. Joe.
