D.B. Br(o,u)m(b)ley b.1892/3 d.WWI-killed in action m. M.R. Liles, mother Mary????? D.B. Br(o,u)m(b)ley b.1892/3 d.WWI-killed in action m. M.R. Liles, mother Mary????? I am related to a D.B. Brumley that was killed in action in WWI. He was born about 1892/3 probably in AL or TN, most likely TN. He married Mattie Rose Liles born Oct. 24, 1895 (age 18 on marriage cert.) d. Aug. 28, 1979 in Red Bay, AL buried in the Cemetery there. D.B. was (age 20). They married at the Cherry Cotton Mills in East Florence, AL on June 6, 1914 in Lauderdale County, AL (Bk22Pg218) by Rev. R. M. Wilks, Local Deacon. Signed: J.T. Koonce-Probate Judge, R. M. Wilks. D.B.’s mother, Mary Brumley signed a Consent to Marriage of Minor Certificate so Mattie and D.B. could marry. We do not know if this family lived in AL or TN. D.B. and Mattie Liles had one child together, Jessie E. Liles b. Jan. 2, 1919 in TN. He later moved to AL and married Icie Mitchell. 1920 Collinwood, Wayne County, TN--Martha Liles 54 years widowed born in AL occupation: Bookkeeping at a Boarding House; Mattie Brombley 26 years widowed born in TN; Willie Liles 18 years single born in TN occupation: Laborer, C. plant; Myrtle Liles 16 years single born in TN; Johnie Liles 13 years single born in TN; Jessie Brombley 1 year single born in TN We do not have any info on D.B.'s parents except his mother's name.
