Hi Steven,
My husband grandmother was a Brumley, We think her father Walter spelled it Brumblay. We do not know much about them either. I have not started much of search on that family. They lived in a little town Maunee or Epworth, two little towns down by Carmi, White Co., IL. Carmi is close to the Wabash River and more than half way down state between Champain and the bottom of the state.

Walter was married to a Clora Mae Courtner, at this time I have no dates. They had two girls Lydia Pearl and Sallie Helen, born 1894 and 1902 respectfully.

My husband said he seems to remember that they got to Maunee by coming down the Ohio River to the Wabash River from Pittsburg PA and settled their on a Farm. I will try to find out more soon but do not give up on finding info. I am working five or six families right now so it may be a while. Keep in touch if you find something. We may connect somewhere.

Estella
