Will I started this Forum in 1998 and I don't know more now then back then. So let's try again. Seeking any information on a Brumley who married a Elizabeth b. about 1750-65.She lived in Caroline CO.,VA in 1782 upward. They had William Brumley born about 1770-80. He married Mary Taylor. He moved to New Kent and worked as overseer for GWP Custis at WhiteHouse in New Kent and Romancoke in King Wm. His sister Nancy Brumley born 1780 married 1803 Caroline CO.VA to William Martin. They lived in Caroline. William Brumley gave his share of their Aunt Nancy (Ann) Bates estate to his sister in 1840's. Nancy Bates got the 238 acres from a James Burnett in 1780's. I believe he was from or lived in King & Queen. He possibly connects to Essex Burnett's.
Religious Petitions for Caroline 1780's show Ann Bates, Elizabeth Brumley and Fanny Sanderson all living either together or on same land.
In early 1740's there was a William and Judy Brumley living in Caroline CO.,VA.
A William Brumley also lived in Spotsylvania. He served in Washington's Army. Said he was born in Spots. Age 19 in 1754, worked as a sawyer.
Thanks,
Alecia Tipton
