In the 1850s, the Joseph Morley family was traveling West from their home in Decatur Co.,IN when they were stricken with Cholera while passing through Hancock Co. IL. They made camp along the trail there and the parents, Joseph & Martha (Johnson) Morley and one son, William, died. All three were buried in Sylvandale Cem. Wythe Twp. The three surviving children included my G-Grandfather, Joseph Theodore Morley b. 1848 IN m. Emma Case 1871 IL d. 1922 Harrison Co. MO. The orphaned Joseph was raised by one Susanne BRUNTON of Hancock Co. Illinois. His two surviving sisters were raised by the CASE and TULL families in Wythe Twp. Hancock Co. IL. Any info on Susanne Brunton would be most appreciated.
