Happened upon these postings with some interest. I'm also a descendent of Mary E. Brunton and her husband James. A while back I was given copies of Civil War era tintypes of each and have been provided some family lore regarding the origins of the Crystle family (as well as more recent family info on this couple's extended family). Am willing to share any info that might be of help and am also interested in any additional info on the Brunton family.
