My mother's maiden name was Brunton and in tracing her family tree I have discovered John Brunton b.1762 Kennoway, Fife, Andrew Brunton b. 1765 Markinch, Fife, Thomas Brunton b. 1767 Markinch, Fife,William Brunton b.1770 Markinch, Fife and Mary Brunton b. 1772 Markinch, Fife, all children of William Brunton b 1745 Kettle, Fife and Isobel Scot b. 1748 Cupar Fife and were married on 9.1.1761 in Ceres, Fife. This Wm Brunton was the son of Thomas Brunton and Agnes Bail(Beal). My line stems from the son John and I can give you the info from his line to present day.
