Hi I wonder if you can help me at all. I am looking for information on my Grandfather his name was Alexander Aitken brunton and aas far as I know came from Dalkeith across near Edinburgh. he moved to Kirkcaldy and stayed there fior a considerable time before emigrating to Australia. He had 3 sons and 1 daughter named Alexander, George, Elisabeth and my father Ronald who was the youngest. I remember when I was very young we were through in Markinch and my Uncle George was with us who had moved back to Dalkeith. He walked out of a newspaper shop in Markinch and a passerby walked past and stopped to say hello as he mistakenly thought he was "George Brunton" who stayed in Markinch as they looked so alike. I remember my father saying yes that some of our family had moved to Markinch and he thought there was still some relatives there. This would be around 1970- but I was only a kid?? Any ideas
