Roane Co. TN Buchannan,
I saw this on the GenWeb Roane Co. TN Site and thought I would share it in case it would help anyone.I am not searching Buchannan.I heard we are distantly related to Buchannan someway, don't know how, whether it is my Moore, Tucker or Goodman line?
Sept. Session 1805, William BUCHANNAN, an orphan, now of the age of thirteen
years . . . was apprenticed to William FRENCH . . . till the age of twenty one
. . . to be taught to . . . "to read write and sypher well as far as the Rule
of three and learn him the coopers trade also at the end of his apprenticeship
give him two good suits of cloths one on and the other off."
Sept. Session 1805, John BUCHANNAN, an orphan, now of the age of eleven years
. . . was apprenticed to Daniel DWYER . . . till the age of twenty one years
. . . to be taught to . . . "read write and sypher well as fare as the rule of
three also give him at the Expiration of his apprenticeship two good suits of
cloths one on and off and to Learn him the Black Smith trade if his Geneous(?)
and Strength will admit of it."
