This was a fascinating history lesson. I have no idea if it connects to my family or not. But, my family was in the same area at about the same time. My Delia/Delilah Buckner/Buchner/Boughner (spelled in different records) married George McLean, sometime before 1824. Their first born, Mathew was born near Hamilton, Ontario in 1824; their 3rd child, Alice, was born in Ancaster in 1828.

They, apparently, worked their way west. George and Delia/Delilah are buried in Guysboro Cemetery, Elgin Co., Ontario.

If anyone has any information/connection to this line, I would LOVE to hear from you!!!
