Jane Buckles Dyer, 1784-1867

The HISTORY OF WHITELY CO. (Indiana), p. 341, states that Jane Buckles Dyer of Whitely was the sister of Robert Buckles, "a soldier with Gen. Anthony Wayne in his 1793-94 campaign against Little Turtle" and that "Robert's life was given upon the Maumee."

This information has been recopied into War of 1812 records in Whitely Co. publications.

However, Jane's brother Robert did not die until 1850.

Does anyone have details about a Robert Buckles who did participate in the Battle of Fallen Timbers in August 1794?
