I am descended from Mary Penquite who married Asa Glascock. While checking the 1850 census, it lists Mary P. living in the household of her son, Absalom, and her age is listed as 65 and birthplace as VA. However, in the 1860 census she is still living with Absalom but lists her birthplace as Pennsylvania. I also thought it interesting that the 1860 census has her occupation listed as "Lady". The genealogy library in Lebanon, OH has her listed as dying 30 Apr 1875 at 91 yrs of age.

I would appreciate any input concerning Mary's birthplace. Also I know nothing of the Penquite's and why they came to Ohio. At the Mormon site it has her parents being from PA.
