I have the 1996 version of Sister Donnelly's book and checked it out for you. I looked at all of the Shanks listings and did not find George. Under Clement buckman it says he moved to Union Do. Ky and married a CAroline Ann Shanks Buckman SNow the widow of John N. Buckman and Ira Snow around 1851. All of the other Shanks as well were women. Also checked Gittings but none listed. I know she has written other books possibly in one of them. If you can find the Buckman that the sister married write me and I can look it up and maybe find it that way. Good luck. Marilyn Follo
