My ggg-grandmother was a slave at Nazareth Academy farm in Nazareth, KY. Her name was Mary Buckman before coming there. May have been born circa 1820. At Nazareth were two Buckman nuns - one was Scholastica - other may've been Victoria, not sure. Do you have wills showing names of slaves in the Buckman family? Mary named her children Mary Francis, Roseline, Josephine, Richard, Ignatius, Mary Ellen & Adelaide, Catharine, Isadore,Theodore,Alphonsus, Martha (gr-d) -- all typical Maryland Catholic names. Any info would be appreciated.
