Charlotte - I am researching the Bucks family in Berks County, and think the Dauphin families maybe related. Do you know anything about the family before coming to the USA - for ex., what village in Alsace were they from; who was their father (I am assuming John, Jacob and Peter were brothers). A cousin and co-researcher sent me the following - and it may help in your search for Peter's children:

From the Early records of Dauphin County, Pa by F. Edward Wright
Buch/ Bucks/Boks/Bux
ST. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church (Hershey area):

Johan Jacob of Peter Boks b-6-21-1761, bap. 5-20-1763, spon: Georg Weeber and wife

Johan Conrad of Peter Boks b- 8-4-1763, bap. 8-23-1763; spon: Joannes Deiss and wife

Johan Peter Bux (2 dots above U) b- 9-2-, bap. 11-5-1787, spon: Johann Peter Bocks and wife
(the date of birth may mean this is a grandson of Peter, rather than a son)
