Family tree

My family is tracing our tree as far back as we can go. Here is what we have to date. My grandfather was, Douglas, or Deke, or Ding, or Dangler Buffalo with an(e)or(w) born in Brinkleville, Halifax around 1891. He may have been married twice to Mary T and or Ida. Their children were, Viola, Herman, Pernell, Eva, Eveline, Chester, Alma, William, and Evlyn. Some of these are probably overlapped names as record keeping was slim back then. There were 2 very large land owning families named Buffaloe in the area. It's possible there is a connection between the indian tribe Haliwa-Saponi which reside in Gumberry NC which is in Halifax county and these families.
I've seen the strings on different spellings and locations of the family all over the south. Is it possible we all are related????
My email is bison4good@hotmail.com if you wish to reply.
Thank you all so very much.
