JAMES PARKER HERNDON was living in Davidson Co.,TN (Nashville)
when he applied for his Confed. Pension in 1927.
One of the witnesses was (J.W. BUFFALOE)
John Washington Buffaloe living in Haywood Co., TN.

JAMES PARKER HERNDON and JOHN R. FRAZIER were said to be
best friends when they enlisted on OCT. 15 1861 in Wayne Co.,TN.

On the roster is :
BUFFALO, J.W. - PVT.
BUFFALO, T. - PVT.
BUFFALO, W.H. - CPL.

All of these men were in Capt. JW Phillips' Light Art Co C.S.A -
A.K.A. JOHNSTON LIGHT ARTILLERY
