Lisa Im glad some of the info I had helped you.Texanna (Annie) Bugg born August 20, 1881; died Dec. 12, 1969; was the daughter of James Knox Polk Bugg and "Mariah" who was born in Alabama, January 1846 and died at the age of 77 on January 10, 1923.There is an article, according to my info in the Waco Times Herald Jan. 10, 1923 regarding her death but I do not have that info.
Children of James Knox Polk Bugg and Mariah were:
Eula Annie born July 4, 1868, in Huntsville, Madison County, Alabama; married John B. Crenshaw; died Dec. 19, 1951 in Waco, Tex; buried in Robinson Cemetery
Sarah Lucy born Dec. 25, 1871, born Giles County, Tenn; married Henry Thomas Case, Jan. 13, 1888, in Giles County, Tenn. Died Jan. 16, 1961 in Waco,Tex; buried in Coon Creek Cemetery, Whitney, Tex.
William J. Bugg, born July 16, 1875 in Elton, Tenn; married Katherine (Katie); died Mar. 22, 1963, in Waco, Texas, buried in Oakwood Cemetery.
James Ace Bugg, Born Dec. 5, 1878, in Elton, Tenn; married Addie Cupp; Died June 30, 1960 in Fort Worth, Texas, buried in Oakwood Cemetery
Texanna (Annie) Bugg was born August 20, 1881 in Tenn., married Silas Cooper Smith; died Dec. 12, 1969, in Waco, Texas.buried in Chilton Cemetery
Ophelia Victoria Bugg, born March 4, 1887 in Tenn. married Jackson Taylor; died July 20, 1951 in Waco, Texas, buried in Oakwood Cemetery
Mattie Bugg, born Aug. 1874 in Tenn. married W. J. Walker;died July 13, 1933 in Waco, Texas; buried in Rosemound Cemetery
Your Subject RE: Bugg-John Jefferson-Tx, Ky, Tenn:how does he connect to James Knox Polk Bugg and Mariah? I am quite positive that your Texanna was a sister to Sarah Lucy Bugg.
I am trying to learn who was the father of James Knox Polk Bugg and learn if "Mariah" is the mother of all these.Looks like all the children were born- first in Alabama and then all the rest in Tenn. So James was born in Tenn and married Mariah who was from Alabama, probably Huntsville,Madison County, Alabama, had first Eula, 1868, and then moved to Giles County, Tenn.had 6 more children and moved to the Waco area, McLennan County, Texas after 1888.My Sarah Lucy married in Giles County, Tenn. in 1888.
If you or anyone has any thing regarding James and Mariah I would appreciate the info.
