Cherokee County History, pub. by Cherokee Co. Historical Society in Jacksonville, TX, has a good amount of info on the BUGG family in that area.

Mentioned are: Willis Lemuel BUGG I who was born 1817 in GA (son of Nancy and Billiam BUGG). He married Caroline Jane EIDOM (daughter of John and Caroline EIDOM) in MISS on 2/11/1836. Both families moved to Knoxville, Cherokee Co., TX, in the 1850's.

The book goes on to mention the tombs of Samuel BUGG, Deborah Sherwood BUGG, Edmund BACON, and Colonel George LYDDALL. Willis Hiram was the son of Hiram BUGG. There is also a photo of the William Bradford BUGG family lot in Oakwood Cemetery in Austin, TX, and another one of the state marker placed in memory of Willis Lemuel BUGG I in the Troup Cemetery in Troup, TX, and another one of Samuel BUGG's tomb in St. Peter's Parish Church, New Kent Co, VA. Samuel BUGG's family were founders of the church.

I really hope this information helps someone in the forum. I don't see how it helps me at the present time as I have not had a great deal of time to spend on my BUGG side of my family history. ENJOY!! Lisa
