Hi Rosanna - have you had any luck with your message re the Buggs? My grandmother was from a Bugg family in north east Essex and the family, as you say, is very well established in the area - straddling the essex/suffolk border. My ancestors are from Suffolk originally but moved across to Essex in the mid-late 1800s to chase higher farming rates.

I've not been able to find a Leonard in my immediate tree - if you had any info further back, even possibly Leonards parents - that could be a big help as there may be a connection from a different branch i haven't researched.

Let me know if you have any further info and i'll take a look.

Cheers

Matt
