Lucy Bugg and Claiborne Kyle

I am seeking information on the parents & siblings of Lucy Bugg (1801-1863) who married Claiborne Kyle (1800-1867). One on-line source cites a marriage on 27 September 1829, in Lincoln County, Tennessee, but I cannot confirm that. Another on-line source states that Lucy was the daughter of Benjamin Bugg and Anne “Nancy” Andrews, however, I am unable to prove this relationship.

Claiborne and Lucy lived in Alabama, Mississippi and eventually Texas where they settled in Hays County.

One of Lucy and Claiborne’s grandchildren was Albert Sidney Burleson, postmaster general in the Wilson administration.

Glad to share information on my Bugg line, which includes the above mentioned Benjamin and Nancy.

Thanks,

Doug Terrell
