I have heard that the name was originally Boulet or Bulet and that they were Huguenots from the Languedoc region of the South of France.
Did your Thomas Bullitt have a will dated 1775 in Fauquier Co.? Is he the Thomas listed in Benjamin Bullitt's will 1766?
