My husband's great x 3 grandfather, John Hutchison, leased land on Kettle Run from Cuthbert Bullitt in 1770. I have been unable to trace John before that time, but the mention of the Hutcherson land in Maryland where Cuthbert's grandfather was buried made me wonder if there could be any connection that researchers on the Bullitt line might know. I had spent some time trying to trace the Hutchersons (and variant spellings) in Maryland, but was not able to link them with the families of similar spellings in Prince William. You always hold out hope someone has discovered something you've not been able to find and will share it.
