Hi Barry,
Following on my April 10,2005 message the following may also be of interest.
There were two M.A.Bulman's in the Stanhope St area.
1) Mary Ann Bulman , 43,Stanhope St.-My first record of her is in 1913 and the record ends in 1941. John Bulman lived at the same address in 1920, 21?,23 and 1924 . AlsoKate Bulman lived at the same address in 1918 &1919.Kate disappears from the register until 1928 to 1932 at 43, Stanhope St.
2) Mary Annie Bulman. Lived at Stone St.from 1919 to 1922,she then moved to 42,Stone St.in 1923 until 1932 when I lose track of her.She may have been married to Thomas Wilm. Bulman who lived at 40 Stone St. from at least 1912 unti 1922 when the couple moved to 42, Stone St.T.W.B lived at No 42 until 1929 after which he disappears from my record.
Stone Street was the next street south of Stanhope St.and ran parallel to it.
Another family of Bulmans which lived in Stone St were
3) John James Bulman , who lived at 107, Stone St from 1921 to 1937 .His son John J. jr lived at 107, Stone St from 1925 to 1939. Catherine (Cassie ,referred to in my previous message first appears at 109, Stone St.from 1930 to 1931 and then moves into 107 , Stone St.in 1932 until 1936. Others in the family were Edward(H ?), Jane Ellen and Isabella H Bulman .This information leads me to believe John Jas.sr. was Cassies father and not the Bulman who lived in Hamilton St. mentioned in my previous message . However he may be related in some way.
I suspect the two Bulmangroups in Stone Street were related .
Did your Mary Ann Bulman (neeTurner) have a relation by the name of David Turner, who lived in Stone St.? If she did the story gets a little more complicated .
Would appreciate any more information on this group to help clarify things.
