Could this be the Reuben Bump/Bumpus, b. CT moved to VT, NY and died in 1849 in Bradford Co., PA. after founding Bumpville, Rome TWP? If so he was married to Phebe Gibbs and a history bood writen in the late 1800's states "they had no children" I have found this to be wrong as the census records clearly children living in the home. I am presently trying to determin the names of these children. If I determin they had a son in abt 1800 and named Him Reuben, I likely descend from him and bring you up to date with my line.

I would very much like to confer with you on this man.

Thank you, Marlow
