Jane,
Sorry I didn't respond sooner, my 'puter has been crashing a lot.
We have your James Yerxa 8 Bunker (D-396A; RN=5725), b abt 1890 Tracy Station, NB (as an adopted grandson); m Helen Louisa Lee, dau of Richard Henry Lee of the St. John Lee family in Canada who remained Loyalists and divided from the American Lee family prominent in the Revolution; one issue: Jack Lee Bunker b 11 Sept 1921 Calgary Alberta CN.
(1982 BunGen p.183)
We have no information on James birth parents or why he was adopted by: John Thomas 6 Bunker, b 18 Jan 1839 Rusagonis NB; d 9 Mch 1921 Tracyville NB; m 26 Oct 1864 Fredericton NB to Eliza Mersereau, dau of Gaynor & Amy (Wood) Mersereau, b 10 Jun 1838 French Lake NB, d 26 Nov 1925 at Tracy; 7 issue, incl James.
John Thomas six natural issue are listed as generation 7 and James Yerxa is listed as generation 8, indicating he was a grandson (adopted). There are no hints of John's children having an illegitmate child.
Jack Lee is a problem also and is listed as generation 8 (same as father). Jack was issued a separate BFA ID#, indicating he married and had children, however I can not find any other data on Jack in our compilation.
The previous compilers of the 1982 edition of the Dover branch are no longer with us, so I am unable to decipher the entries.
Can you confirm James & Helen Lee m 22 Oct 1919 and her b'day of Feb 1895?
Hope this helps
gil
