Laura,

There is a family tree for John Bunyan in the Society of Genealogists library in London. Its many years since I looked at it but I remember that it appeared to lay waste to any claims of present day Bunyans being related to him. All his sons lines died out, you stand more cahnce of being related if your name is BROWNE as one of his daughters married a BROWNE and I think had many children
