Hello Robin: thanks for the reply. I have made a bit more porgress now. My Florence was born in 1887 to Elizabeth P Ford, unmarried at that time. On the birth certificate, which I now have, there is no father's name but she gave Florence the middle name of Bunyan which suggests who the father was. Elizabeth married George Bunyan in 1891 and they are all found together in the 1891 census when Florence was just 4 years old. As far as I can tell, they didn't have any other children.

But the names are all so similar, there is obviously a connection with your Bunyans. Something to pursue!
