following is part of some recent correspondence which I have had in another forum.I think that they are all tied
together.

My g-grandparents, Mortimer Howard and Eleanora Burchell were married in Elmira,
NY in 1852. Witnesses were Abraham and Ellen Burchell. My gf Samuel B Howard was
baptized (along with a twin John) in 1856. Witnesses were Abrahamand Elizabeth Burchell.

In the 1860 census, they show up in Marengo with children Catherine, Samuel, John
and Eugene. They also appear in the 1870 census with several more children,

In an 1885 Nebraska census, an Arthur Burchell shows up with the Howard family as
a cousin, born in Tennessee.I found an earlier census list (I think it was 1880)
from Humphreys county Tennessee with parents Abraham and Elizabeth Burchell and
son Arthur. If any of this seems to tie in, please let me know.
